Enhanced Hydraulics with the PBL® Dart System
The DSI Split Flow PBL® provides precise fluid management during drilling and completion activities. This innovative system facilitates a pre-calculated volume of drilling or completion fluid to flow through the Split Flow PBL® to the bottomhole assembly (BHA), while the surplus fluid is redirected through the tool's side ports.
This design allows for:
- Optimal flow rates through delicate components such as MWD/LWD, rotary steerable systems, and drilling motors
- Mitigation of excessive hydraulic power (HSI) around the bit, reducing wellbore erosion and steering challenges
- Enhanced annular velocities and improved hole cleaning
- During circulating cycles, increased total flow rate while effectively circulating and cooling sensitive BHA components.
Simplicity Ensures Efficiency
To help optimize safety during operations, the tool’s innovative side ports are designed to automatically close when the pumps are turned off. This feature not only enhances safety by preventing potential hazards but also effectively eliminates issues related to U tubing, thus ensuring the integrity of the well throughout the operation.
